Add Comment Scouts Community Challenge 16/07/2011
The Scouts have as part of their Community Challenge, built 2 reptile hibernacula's at Knowle Park. This involves digging a hole about the size of a single bed and about a metre deep then making sure it is free draining and then backfilling with rubble and having access tubes for reptiles. There are plans to build on an adjacent site to Knowle Park so many reptiles are going to be displaced, so this could be vital to their survival. This project would not have been possible without the consent of Fair Oak Parish Council, and the local Ranger, thank you for allowing us to undertake this project. The Scouts provided the tools and muscle, the Parish Council provided the materials. We hope to get a sign made so that park visitors are aware who built them. And last but not least, well done to the Scouts for getting stuck in with this project, a big well done to you all. July 2011 Website Noticeboard updated 25/03/2011

Brownsea Island Swim 19/01/2011
A BIG Thank you to Joseph Bates one of our parents for donating £ 72.50 to the scout group after a sponsered swim around Brownsea island , Well done and much apprecaited by all. Fantastic Fundraising Opportunity! 20/11/2010
Tesco have offered us the opportunity to do some much needed fund raising at the store in Eastleigh. They have given us the weekend of the 4th & 5th December to do bag packing at the tills. We may also be able to have a collection tin just inside the foyer of the Wells Place entrance. Fund raising is an integral part of Scouting as it allows us to provide the best possible equipment & activities available. To be able to take up this kind offer we need young people & parents to complete 2 hour slots (as above) in the store on Saturday & Sunday. Please support us with this worthy event by adding your name(s) to the lists, which can be found on the noticeboard in the Scout Hall foyer. Thanks in advance for your help Kevin Alford Chair Eastleigh Scouts on the UP! 05/11/2010
Eastleigh Scouts are inviting the residents of Eastleigh to scale new heights as they try to recruit 50 Adults to support the 9% increase in Youth Membership in the last 12 months. The Scout will be erecting a climbing wall in Wells Place outside the Swan Centre and are inviting people to climb to the top this Saturday between 9am and 4pm. The tower is just part of an event designed to introduce adults to the Scout Movement in Eastleigh. With an increase of 9% Young Membership in 2010, Eastleigh Scouts are in the difficult position of having to find the 50 new Adult members who will be able to support these young people in their activities. If you have been a Scout in the past, and want to get involved again, or are just curious about what Scouting is all about, then come along to Wells Place between 9am and 4pm, where you can talk to current members, both young and old.
