Beavers go wild at Monkey Bizness

                            Beavers Celebrate 25th Birthday

On Friday 11th March Beaver Scouts from both colonies joined in a district wide celebration at Monkey Bizness, marking 25 years of the section. The children enjoyed an evening of fun and friendship topped off with a beautiful cake and party bags. During the party the group presented cheques to the district contributing towards its Shelter Box appeal.

Wednesday Beavers go 10 pin bowling

On Friday 19th March, eleven Beavers went bowling at Eastleigh's AMF.  They met Beavers from both the 13th Bishopstoke and the 14th Eastleigh Groups and took part in a bowling bananza.  All the Beavers enjoyed themselves and a few were delighted to get strikes.

                            Furry Friends!

On Wednesday 27th January we had some furry friends visit us!  Graham and Dawn brought in their dog 'Fudge'.  She was very friendly and we talked about how to look after her.  We even watchd her have her dinner!

We were also lucky enough to have a visit from 'Henry' the hamster who belongs to one of our Beavers.  Henry lives in an amazing home with different sections connected with tubes.  The Beaver told us how he look after Henry and showed us his pet diary.  He has now earned his Animal Friend badge.  Well done!

If you would like to earn your badge, just fill in a diary for 2 weeks showing what you did each day to care for a pet.

                            Beavers Sleepover Nov 09

                            Wednesday Beavers Sleepover Surprises

Friday 27th Novemebr saw 21 excited beavers arriving at the HQ for a fun filled sleepover.

The evening started with plenty of parachute and running games all with the aim of buring off some energy.  Next came the first surprise of the evening - the tents!  Yes, those who wished to could sleep in the inner section of a lightweight tent -inside!  After a quick demo, all the children busied themselves with poles and groundsheets and soon the hall was filled with tents.

After making up our beds, we settled down for surprise number 2 - a campfire!  Our real wood fire complete with (lightbulb) fire created a cosy atmosphere and following songs and hotdogs, all were ready for their sleepingbags.  The bedtime story ended a fun filled evening.

After a very quiet night, 7am saw a sleepy breakfast followed by a busy hour of packing away (Graham and Dawn are now experts at getting sleepinbags back into their tiny stuff sacks!).  The sleepover finished with a cinema style viewing of Jimmy Neutron.  All the Beavers headed home happy having had an evening of 'fun and friends'.  Graham and Dawn would like to thank all the beavers and their parents for supporting this event.
