                            8th Eastleigh Cubs


                            There are 2 cub scout packs within the group meeting on a Monday and Tuesday both 6.15 - 8pm.  The programs differ slightly but both are varied and fun and the activities often work towards gaining badges and awards.

                            To join cubs you need to be between 8 and 10 years old. New members are always welcome to join us - if you’re interested click here to contact us or call the Group Scout Leader on 0845 644 5258.

                            What do Cubs do?

                            We like to give cubs the opportunity to ‘try something new’, have fun, make new friends and learn new skills.

                            Some of the things we’ve done in the last year are:
                            •    Archery
                            •    Science projects
                            •    Camped under canvas
                            •    Night Hikes
                            •    Made camp gadgets
                            •    Map reading
                            •    Cooking
                            •    Backwoods cooking
                            •    Wide games
                            •    Road safety
                            •    Local Walk
                            •    Christmas project
                            •    Scavenger hunt
                            •    Team building
                            •    First aid
                            •    Swimming gala
                            •    6-A-Side football

                            We try to incorporate outdoor activities in the summer months and get at least a weekend camp in every year.

                            A reminder that all Cubs must wear their full uniform to Cub meetings, if they get hot during the meeting they may remove their jumpers and scarves once Grand Howl
                            PLEASE NAME JUMPERS AND SCARFS. They also need to make sure they bring with them their folders with the following items inside:  Cub hand book, Cub badge book, note book, pen and a handkerchief (not tissue). They may also bring a bottle of drink.
